**I went a bit nuts yesterday in the garden.  My hubby discovered the chooks eating my green tomatoes the other day,  so we have sectioned off our garden yet again.  The chooks now have roughly one third of the yard,  and that third has the blackberry problem,  so maybe they’ll do something about it now. ;-p

So what has been happening?  Well we are eating a LOT of Silverbeet.  And I picked our first Zucchinis today.  There are many green tomatoes on the seedlings I bought,  and yesterday I found my first tomato on my home grown plants!

**It’s the time of year that we wait patiently to see whether out female Kiwi Fruit will flower.  Our Male plant has flowered for the last two years,  but the Female is a bit slow off the mark.  Well,  the wait is over,  the Male plant flowered a week ago,  and there is no sign of Female flowers,  maybe next year….

**Well,
As you can guess a LOT has been happening since my last post,  more than I can remember.  So I will just update on what is starting to bear fruit.  We have been eating lettuce for a few weeks now,  and the original ones are starting to go to seed,  My Scarlet Runners are flowering and my corn is starting […]

I went a little nuts this weekend!  We spent the weekend at a girlfriends house who is just as ’self-sufficient’ obsessed as me.  She took me to the markets Sunday morning and this is what I bought:
